One day Tour of Lovech and Krushuna Waterfalls from Sofia

The old Varosha quarter of Lovech with its covered bridge, the Vasil Levski museum and the Krushuna Waterfalls, the highest travertine cascade in Bulgaria. Devetashka Cave as a bonus. Hotel pick-up included.

Lovech is one of the oldest settled places in Bulgaria and was the centre of Vasil Levski's revolutionary organisation in the struggle against Ottoman rule. In the old Varosha quarter you visit the ethnographic complex and the Vasil Levski house-museum.

Above the old town stand the remains of the Hisarya fortress and the Levski monument. The covered bridge over the Osam River, built in 1872–1874 by master builder Kolyu Ficheto, is the symbol of the town and is full of small souvenir shops.

The Krushuna Waterfalls are the highest travertine cascade in Bulgaria. An eco-trail with bridges and stairs leads through the falling water. As a bonus, the programme also includes a stop at Devetashka Cave.
